Gun Barrel Safety Clip

Hunting is a practice that needs extra care when handling the firearm, especially because you can be holding your firearm, and the next minute it can slip, fall, and probably go off. Such incidences can expose the hunter and their partners to the danger of unintentional discharge. Although lock boxes, gun safes, and safety catches are designed to completely prevent unintended removal and handling of a firearm while also preventing a firearm’s accidental discharge, they might not be helpful during moments like crossing a fence.

And that’s where inventor Jack Taylor’s Gun Barrel Safety Clip invention comes in. The Gun Barrel Safety Clip is a lightweight, plastic barrel clip that snaps onto the barrel of practically any shotgun without obstruction. It hooks a hunter’s firearm to a support system when they need to be hands-free, like in the case of crossing a fence.

What is Gun Barrel Safety Clip?

The Gun Barrel Safety Clip’s idea came into existence more than 25 years ago while inventor Jack Taylor of Prescott, AZ, was quail hunting with his hunting partner in Arizona. Jack has created the Gun Barrel Safety Clip as a plastic barrel clip, light in weight, meant for snapping onto the barrel of nearly any shotgun without hindrance. The Gun Barrel Safety Clip then hooks the firearm to a support point when you need to be hands-free.

Jack and his hunting partner were crossing a fence line pursuing a covey of quail, and while climbing over, Jack’s partner’s shotgun slipped and fell to the ground after he leaned it against the fence. A barbed-wire piece accidentally entangled the shotgun’s trigger, and the firearm went off, narrowly missing both of them. Although they continued with their successful hunt after seeing how lucky they were, the memory of the firearm’s accidental discharge stuck in the back of Jack’s mind and, in turn, inspired him to develop the Gun Barrel Safety Clip.

Features and Benefits

The Gun Barrel Safety Clip can hook a firearm to a fence, tree branch, or any support when you need to be hands-free and out of contact with your firearm. For example, it can be helpful during moments like crossing a fence. Additionally, the Gun Barrel Safety Clip is easy to carry and helps prevent dirtying and clogging of your firearm barrel because you will no longer have to place the firearm in the snow or mud.

That’s not all, as you can easily store the Gun Barrel Safety Clip in your pocket, on your firearm’s barrel, or clip it to another item in your possession. Furthermore, the clip is essential for all new hunters taking a Hunter Safety Course. Lastly, this clip is fully-engineered with a prototype available.
